Valentino was founded in 1965 by the Italian fashion designer Valentino Garavani.
He had financial backing from his father and his father's business associates.


The companies management was assured by Valentino's boyfriend
Giancarlo Giammetti, a former student in architecture.

Today the company operates multiple high profile fashion boutiques around the World.

Valentino is privately owned.

Valentino clinets were and are Farah Diba, Begum Aga Khan, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Aimee de Heeren, Elizabeth Taylor, Marella Agnelli.
And in the younger generation Caroline Lahame,
Alexandra von Krockow, Rebecca Solms and Caroline of Monaco.
